A+ Tutors: Since today is a D day, there will be no tutoring at the elementary and middle schools.
he Lady Jags swam & dove against the TOUGHEST team in the state last night! Even though we were defeated, we had some great times posted.
The Medley Relay tam of Allison Heaney, Emily Martin, Charlotte Reichensperger, and Maggie Nelson improved their state consideration time.
The 200 Freestyle Relay team of Maggie Nelson, Allison Heaney, Emily Martin, and Charlotte Reichensperger improved their state consideration time.
The 400 Freestyle Relay team of Maggie Nelson, Emily COe, Emily Martin, and Allison Heaney also improved their state consdieration time.
Individuals earning state consideration times in the 500 freestyle was Emily Martin and in the 100 breaststroke was Allison Heaney.

Attention Sophomores & Juniors! The priority deadline to apply for the the CAPS program is 2019-2020 is Sunday, December 9th at midnight. Email or visit your school counselor if you need the application link.
We know you have many opportunities to give, but there's more! FCCLA has paired with an elderly home who could use some hoiday cheer. We have 118 elderly residents who need a Christmas. For just $1 YOU can sponsor a grandma or grandpa and make a difference. Stop by the FCCLA table at lunch any day this week to drop off your donation. Haven't got a dollar? That's okay! Any donation amount is appreciated! Together we can make this holiday bright for those in need.
Congratulations to the Freshman Girls basketball team on winning their first conference game of the season over Holt.

AND the 400 Freestyle Relay team of Emily Martin, Maggie Nelson, Melanie Lyons, and Lexi Eckman earned a state consideration cut.

Congratulations on a job well done to all orchestra students who auditioned for the All-State Orchestra on Saturday at Mizzou. As usual, the competition was brutal, but this year we broke through and have our first violinist in the orchestra since 2011 with Rachel Sengl. Kudos! 
We also have a violin alternate in Aliyah Amerin. Congratulations to both in representing yourselves and West High and being recognized as among the elite string players in the state!
Congratulations to the Varsity Basketball team who defeated Lafayette Friday. They got 3rd in the Marquette tournament. JV stayed undefeated and won the Marquette Tournament. Great job, ladies!

Congrats to the Freshman wrestling team taking 3rd place in the Hoekel Invitational on Saturday.  The Jaguars won 4 of 5 dual meets.  Connor Stein went undefeated for the day.......Great effort by ALL wrestlers.
There will be a baseball informational meeting on Thursday, December 6, after school in room 233.  If you can not attend, see Coach Gough in 233.
This past Saturday, both the JV Dance Team and the Varsity Dance Team competed at the Lindbergh Invitational, and it was a great day to be a Jaguar!!  The JV Dance Team earned 2nd place with their jazz routine and 2nd place with their hip hop routine.  They also received a specialty award for Most Memorable Hip Hop Routine. The Varsity Dance Team earned 1st place for their jazz routine and 1st place for their hip hop routine.  The Varsity Dance Team also won the high point award because both of their routines were the highest scoring routines of the day!  This is the fourth consecutive year that the Varsity Dance Team has done this.  Congratulations to all the dancers, your coaches are VERY proud of you!!
